Marine engineering. Since 2002.

Based in Tianjin, China, DESAIL has developed its marine engineering business since 2002. Our company brings together engineering design, applied research and experience from marine projects.

Our development has been shaped by the people behind the engineering and by cooperation with universities, construction partners and the wider marine industry.

Our development

A company built through marine engineering.

DESAIL’s work has developed from engineering services into broader project responsibilities, with research and technical development alongside it.

  1. 2002–2007

    Engineering foundations

    Founded in 2002, DESAIL began with engineering services for working vessels and special-purpose ships, including design and construction work.

  2. 2008–2018

    Integrated project experience

    The company expanded into engineering, procurement and construction projects and offshore platform development, bringing these disciplines together.

  3. 2019 onward

    Modular and digital development

    Building on its marine engineering experience, DESAIL broadened its work in modular marine systems and digital engineering.
